Privacy Policy
This policy will describe how Trustlight LLC, the company that operates the Aunt Mabel daily wellness-call service, handles the information collected through it.
When a disaster reaches a recipient's area, the details needed for an in-person wellness check are shared with Cajun Navy Ground Force, our disaster-response partner, so their teams can go and knock on the door. The final policy will set out exactly what is shared with them and when.
It's being finalized with counsel now. When it's ready, this page will set out what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who it is shared with, and how to ask for it to be deleted.
Two things are worth stating up front, because they're the ones families ask about first:
Daily calls are not recorded today. Preserving call recordings for families is a possible future feature, and it would require its own separate, explicit consent — it would never be switched on quietly for anyone already enrolled.
The details a recipient shares on a call are used to check on their wellbeing and, if something sounds wrong, to alert the emergency contacts named during enrollment. A recipient's ZIP code is also used to know when a disaster has reached their area.
Questions before then? Please reach out — we'd rather answer first.
